    LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ESTHER ADRIDGE WOOTEN KORNEGAY:

    Territory of Florida, 19 Feb 1845

    Know all men by these presents that I, ESTHER KORNEGAY of the Territory of Florida and the County of Jefferson, being of good health, sound and proper mind and memory calling to mind the uncertainty of Life and the certainty of Death, do make this my Last Will and Testament to wit:

    I give and bequeath unto my son John Wooten the sum of one dollar. I also give and bequeath unto my grandson Wiley Cox the sum of one dollar. I give and bequeath to my daughter Susan Lane the sum of one dollar. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Harriet Caldwell the sum of one dollar. I also give and bequeath unto my son Peter Bond Wooten one feather bed and furniture and one dollar in cash.

    I also give and bequeath, after all my just debts are paid, unto my two youngest daughters viz: unto Caroline my large family bible and unto Clarisa my trunk. I give unto Caroline and Clarisa Kornegay, my two youngest daughters, three feather beds and furniture. I also give and bequeath all the balance of my estate, both real and personal to the said Caroline and Clarisa Kornegay to be equally divided between them, both by my executor or their guardians, and if one of them should die during their minority, then it is my wish that the other should have it all, that is if either Caroline or Clarisa should during their minority, then it is my wish that the other should have all that I have given unto both. viz, Caroline and Clarisa.

    I leave my friend Joshua Taylor, Sr. my executor.
