  • ID: I20581
  • Name: Harvey LYON 1 2 3 1 4
  • Sex: M
  • Birth: 14 JUN 1799 in Cayuga Co., York State 3 4
  • Death: 1 OCT 1840 in Stephenson, Il, Usa 3 4
  • Change Date: 21 JUL 2002 3 4
  • Note:
    [Palmer.FTW]

some notes mention he was a Congrgationalist. Notes from
'History of the Firel ands, Comprising Huron & Erie Co.'s' publ.
1879 in Greene Room show that a lot of Lyon and Palmer moved
there (around Fitchville & Greenwich) in 1818 & 1819 from
Cayuga Co., NY., and that the Palmers started in Connecticut.
Surely so me of these are related to Harvey and Amy Palmer Lyon,
but I did not find any direct connection in that book. See my
filed notes in Kimball box for further details. In History of
Medina Co., Ohio by Baskin & Battery in Greene Rm., t here is a
Rev. H.(arvey) Lyon mentioned as a member ofthe 1st teacher
exam bd . for Medina Co. 1838. He was also principal of Medina
and later Redfield Aca damies. Same Lyon? Hist. of Huron Co.
features Preston Palmer and his ancest ors are apparently one of
the Lyon-Palmer fam. that moved to Huron Co. in 1819 . There is
a high probability from the dates, loc. of wife in Cayuga Co.,
NY , and first names that both this Palmer and his wife Anna
Lyon were related. See Xerox copy on Kimball box.[Beta.FTW]
