    ELIZABETH SCHROEDER AND FRANK MACKE WERE MARRIED OCTOBER 15, 1895 IN ST MARYS CATHOLIC CHURCH BY FATHER JOSEPH WEIXELBERGER. THEY WERE MARRIED IN THE OLD WOOD-FRAME CHURCH.
    ELIZABETH AND FRANK MACKE HAD FIVE CHILDREN. ON NOVEMBER 3, 1896 A SON, GEORGE, WAS BORN. HE LIVED ONLY THREE WEEKS. WHEN FRANK MACKE WENT TO MAKE THE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS, HE WAS INFORMED THAT FATHER WEIXELBERGER HAD JUST PASSED AWAY.
    A SECOND SON, LOUIS, WAS BORN IN NOVEMBER 1898. HE DIED AT AGE OF FIVE MONTHS OF WHOOPING COUGH. BOTH FUNERALS WERE HELD IN THE OLD WOOD FRAMED CHURCH AND BOTH CHILDREN WERE BURIED IN ST MARYS CEMETERY.
    THE NEW CHURCH WAS BUILT IN 1898. FRANK MACKE HELPED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW CHURCH. TWO DAUGHTERS, MARY (MACKE) AHLERS AND HILDA MACKE WERE BORN IN 1900 AND 1902 RESPECTIVELY. THEY WERE BOTH BAPTIZED BY MONSIGNOR WEBER IN THE PRESENT CATHOLIC CHURCH. A THIRD DAUGHTER, CLARA, WAS BORN AUGUST 9, 1905. SHE DIED IN MAY 1907 OF MEASLES AND PNEUMONIA.
    MARY MACKE AHLERS ATTENDED A COUNTRY SCHOOL LOCATED THREE MILES FROM THE PRESENT LOCATION OF UNITYVILLE. SHE STARTED ST MARYS CATHOLIC SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER 1909. HILDA MACKE BEGAN AT ST MARYS IN SEPTEMBER 1910. THE SCHOOL WAS LOCATED DIRECTLY EAST OF THE CHURCH. THIS SCHOOL HAD A SMALL CHAPEL WHERE ALL THE SCHOOL CHILDREN OR ANY PARISHIONERS WHO SO DESIRED COULD ATTEND DAILY MASS. THEY ALSO HELD BAPTISMS AND FUNERALS IN THIS CHAPEL IN THE WINTER BECAUSE THE CHURCH WAS TOO COLD.
    IN 1914 FRANK MACKE HELPED CONSTRUCT A BUILDING BETWEEN THE CHURCH AND ST MARYS SCHOOL. THE PURPOSE OF THIS BUILDING WAS TO HOUSE A DORMITORY, A LAUNDRY ROOM, AND ALSO A LUNCH ROOM. PARISHIONERS OFTEN GATHERED HERE FOR ENTERTAINMENT SUCH AS CARD PLAYING AND PRIVATE DANCES. THIS BUILDING WAS ESPECIALLY NICE BECAUSE IT HAD INDOOR FACILITIES. LATER, FRANK MACKE WAS EMPLOYED AS A JANITOR FOR THIS BUILDING AND THE OTHER BUILDINGS OWNED BY ST MARYS PARISH.

    Elizabeth possibly died 2 March 1960 at the age of 87.
