JOHN WANNEMACHER-4 (Daniel-3, Marx-2) was b.c. 1794 in Lynn Twp., Northamp ton County, Pennsylvania, s/o Daniel and Susanna (Everett) Wannemacher, a nd probably moved with them to Trumbull County, Ohio where they were settl ed in Liberty Twp., before 1807.
He married before 1820, Mary (Polly) Sauer, b.c. 1801, Germany. He was a b lacksmith and lived 1820 & 1830 census, Liberty Twp., Trumbull Count y. In 1828, he and Polly were named with his brothers, Christian & Katy Wa nnemacher, Jacob & Betsy Wannemacher, Daniel & Sally Wannemacher, Pet er & Mary Reel, Daniel & Betsy Everett, Samuel Wannemacher, and John Miss er (Musser) in the estate settlement of his brother, Philip Wannemacher, l ate of Liberty Twp.; land to Jonas Wannemacher of Trumbull County, 4 Ma r. 1828. (Trumbull County Deeds, Vol. 5, p. 487) .In 1840 census he liv ed in Canfield, and 1850 census was living in Champion, Trumbull County, O hio. About 1853 he moved his family to Grant Co, WI where his brother Jon as had settled earlier and some of the children of his brother, Jaco b. He was listed in 1860 census, Clifton Twp., Grant County, WI, with chil dren Timothy, Newton, and Laura J., adjacent to his son, Clinton
Jonas. Mary (Polly) died' 10 Nov. 1885 and was buried Steele Cemetery, Cra wford County, WI, "Mary P., wife of John Wannemaker". Other Wannemache rs in Steele Cemetery were members of the family of his brother Jonas Wann emacher. Wanemaker, who d. 2 Oct. 186 0, age 49-10-3, bur. Fairview Cemetery, Grant County, WI although the tomb stone dates differ-from census. William, probably the same William Wannema cher of Wethersfie1d, 1850 census, b.c. 1823, married to Mary A., b.c. 182 7, and adjacent on census to the above $..J. Wannemacher. He was also list ed 1860 census, Wethersfield Twp., with wife, M.A. and Wilson Reel, age 1 3.
