    !III. 3. GEORGE (SETON), LORD SETON [SCT], 1st son and heir, had licence to leave the kingdom with protection from legal process for himself and his dependants for 3 years and 40 days, 19 April 1510, but was at Edinburgh, 8 November 1512. He married, before 25 January 1506/7, Jane or Janet, 1st daughter of Patrick (HEPBURN), 1st EARL OF BOTHWELL [SCT], only child by his 1st wife, Janet or Joanna, 1st daughter of James (DOUGLAS), 1st EARL OF MORTON [SCT]. He died 9 September 1513, being slain at the battle of Flodden, and was buried in the quire of Seton Church. His widow died after 10 May 1558, at the Convent of St. Catherine of Siena, near Edinburgh, and was buried with him at Seton.
