  • Note: BORHO, Sister Emily, SSND (formerly Sister Mary Ignatia) - A School Sister of Notre Dame, died at Waterdown, Ontario on Saturday, August 23, 2003, in the 74th year of her religious profession. Sister Emily is predeceased by her parents, Joseph Borho and Susanna (nee Hihn) both of Formosa, Ont. as well as four brothers, Peter, Edmund, and two who died in infancy and her sister, Magdalene Voisin. Left to mourn are her sisters, Rose Kuntz and Isabell Weber and many devoted nieces and nephews. Sister Emily was an excellent primary teacher. Most of her teaching years were in schools in Kitchener. She also taught in Welland, Caledonia, Chepstow, Cambridge and Cloverdale, B.C. In 1976, Sister Emily moved to Notre Dame Convent, Waterdown where she was seamstress for many years before she retired fully. Visitation at Notre Dame Convent, 1921 Snake Road, Waterdown on Monday, August 25, 2003 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wake Service Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame Convent on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Notre Dame Convent Cemetery.
