  • Note: Book by Mary Lafferty Wilson: Elizabeth and Charles were married in Sumner Co., Tn by Phillip Howell. Shortly after their marriage they made the move with the familiea to AR. The trip took six months. On the move to AR, Elizabeth died at Paoli Fields and was buried at the mouth of the White River. She left no children. Her husband continued to Batesville where he is mentioned in the history of the area. He was still living in 1821 when Batesville, AR was surveyed. In 1820 to 1829 he was sheriff of Independence County.
